Are you thinking of pursuing a rewarding career in the business world? Success starts with a good post-secondary education, and one way students get a competitive advantage is by having a Dufferin-Peel Business Certificate among their credentials when applying to college and university programs. It is more than a piece of paper; it is a tangible recognition for your commitment to at least six high school business courses. Post-secondary institutions recognize this effort, and so do employers.
Requirements of a Business Certificate:
- Must complete a minimum of 6 Business Studies Credits with a minimum of 60% in each course
- Minimum of 4 credits must be coded with a "B" (BTT, BBI, BOH, etc.)
- 2 other credits can be taken from the following courses:
- Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 Economics (CIE3M and/or CIA4U)
- 1 Interdisciplinary Business Credit (ex. Personal Finance)
- 1 Business Related Cooperative Education Credit
- 1 Grade 12 Mathematics Credit at the U, M, or C level.
